haitangkitty mentioned watching Moonlight Chicken, which I absolutely adore, so here's a conversation thread for it. I will try not to geek out too much about how beautifully P'Aof handles sometimes difficult emotions in these interconnected stories of loss and healing amongst this found family of (mostly) gay men. I will probably fail. Maybe I should aim for incoherent enthusing? :D :D

Like if you don't know the actors it all works, but if you do the way P'Aof works our emotions in introducing them is genius. Here's Earth, cool cool. Mark Pakin in the background, then rapid fire his first lines, then Fourth, then Khaotung. Less than 30 seconds. boom Boom BOOM. Mix and Earth staring at each other. And then when we finally get a glimpse of First's character. Set up perfectly.

Told you I would fail. Didn't even make it to posting. Oops :D
